To use the Solar ROI Calculator, follow these simple steps:
Enter Your Home Size: Provide the size of your home in marla (1 marla = 250 sq ft). This helps the calculator estimate how much solar energy can be installed.
Annual Electricity Consumption: Enter your total annual electricity consumption in kilowatt-hours (kWh). This value helps the calculator determine your energy needs.
Current Electricity Tariff: Enter the price you currently pay for electricity per unit (in PKR). By default, this is set to 65 PKR per unit.
Mount Type Selection: Choose between a Flush Mount or Shade Mitigation system. This affects the amount of space needed per kW of solar power installed.
High-Rise Option: If you have a mumty room or a high-rise structure affecting the installation area, select “Yes.” This will adjust the calculation to account for available rooftop space.
Peak Usage Percentage: Use the slider to set the percentage of your electricity used during peak hours (between 15% and 30%).
Calculate: Click the “Calculate” button to get results including the recommended system size, potential savings, payback period, and projected ROI.
By using this calculator, you can estimate how much solar power you can generate, how it will offset your bills, and how quickly you’ll recoup your investment through energy savings.
